In Disenchanted, Giselle and Robert have been married for 15 years. Tired of city life, they move to the residential neighborhood of Monroeville with their young family, hoping to lead a more magical existence.
Unfortunately, things don't go smoothly. The upscale suburbs are strictly regulated, as Malvina Monroe, self-proclaimed guardian of the temple, constantly reminds us.
The result: Giselle feels more isolated than ever. Frustrated that the promised happiness is so hard to come by, she uses Andalasia's magic and accidentally transforms her neighborhood into a fairy tale, even risking her family's happiness.
Embarked on a race against time, she will have to ward off the enchantment and ask herself what she and her family really mean by the expression "...They lived happily ever after."
