The success of the James Wan-directed Aquaman sequel led some to believe that Jason Momoa would leave the series, but while even the actor continues to suggest that his tenure as the lead Aquaman actor may be over, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran has just clarified things by stating that the actor will still have a home in the DC Universe.<\/p>\n
In an interview with The Independent<\/strong>, Safran was asked about Momoa and said that "we'll see" what happens with his role as Aquaman in the DCU. However, Safran kept the door open for future roles, noting that Momoa has always had a home at Warner Bros.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll see what happens with him beyond that. I know Jason will always have a home at DC and Warner Bros. In fact, his next movie is Minecraft,\u201d Safran said, while noting that \u201cIf this is the end of the journey, fine. If it continues, that\u2019s also fine. What I hope is that people will really be there to support him on this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n Safran's comments come just days after Momoa appeared to say goodbye to the character at a fan event Monday at The Grove in Los Angeles. Ahead of the fan screening of the film, Momoa said it might be the "last time" he and director James Wan would ever take the stage.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Momoa also acknowledged that it didn't look "very good" when asked about his future as Aquaman.
