Upon its release on January 19, 2009, Bobby the Hedgehog was the highest-grossing film of its generation. Bobby, a young teenager growing up in a devoutly Protestant family, is plagued by self-doubt. One day, he confides in one of his brothers: he prefers boys to girls his own age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Soon, the whole family finds out: while the men of the house seem to finally accept this difference, his mother cannot resign herself to it, since it goes against her religious principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She then sets out to "heal" her son through her faith. But a terrible event will change her life and her vision of the world...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary raised her children according to the conservative principles of the Presbyterian Church. The day Bobby confessed he was attracted to men, Mary advised her son to pray to ward off evil.
