The Dowager Countess then orders her family members to travel to the French Riviera in search of her mysterious past...<\/p>\n<p>1928. The Crawleys and their servants all attend the wedding of Tom Branson and Lucy Smith, daughter of Lady Bagshaw. Lord Grantham explains to his relatives that the family solicitor will soon be visiting Downton, at the Dowager&#039;s request, and that he expects everyone to be there.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Violet has inherited a villa in the south of France, which she, in turn, wishes to bequeath to Lady Sybil and Branson&#039;s daughter.
