Reva disobeys orders and places a new bounty on Kenobi, causing the city's mercenaries to target him and Leia. When Leia realizes they are after Kenobi, she loses trust in him and flees.<\/p>\n At his fortress on Mustafar, Vader orders Reva to find Kenobi, promising to promote her to Grand Inquisitor if she succeeds. Kenobi and Leia's transport lands on the mining planet Mapuzo, and they travel to the rendezvous provided by Haja. Finding no one there, they board an Imperial transport. They are discovered and Imperial troops are sent to capture them, but they receive help from a female Imperial officer, Tala, who is a member of the Way, an underground network that hides dissidents and outlaws hunted by the Empire.<\/p>\n After escaping Vader on Mapuzo, Kenobi and Tala arrive at a Path facility on Jabiim. Meanwhile, Leia, now being interrogated for details about the Path by Reva, is being held at Fortress Inquisitorius, the Inquisitors' stronghold headquarters on Nur. Kenobi and Tala plan to infiltrate the fortress to rescue Leia. Once inside, Kenobi discovers a trophy case filled with the preserved corpses of captured and killed Jedi, including a youngling.<\/p>\n Thirteen years earlier, Kenobi trains Anakin in lightsaber combat on Coruscant, where he criticizes Anakin for his aggressive actions. In the present, tracking Kenobi's location to Jabiim, Vader promotes Reva to Grand Inquisitor. The Empire arrives to besiege the facility and disables the emergency doors. To buy time, Kenobi negotiates with Reva and deduces that she knows Vader's true identity, having witnessed his massacre at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as a youngster. She reveals that she wanted to gain Vader's favor in order to kill Vader in revenge, rather than serve him.<\/p>\n While Reva has arrived on Tatooine in search of Luke, Vader pursues Kenobi and the Path in his Star Destroyer. Realizing there is no other way, Kenobi separates from the group so the Path can escape. He fights Vader alone on a nearby planet and damages Vader's helmet and breathing apparatus, incapacitating him. Convinced that Anakin cannot be saved, Kenobi leaves Vader behind. Meanwhile, Reva has arrived at Owen's farm and is opposed by Owen and Beru. She pursues Luke into the desert but cannot bring herself to kill him and ultimately returns him to his family. Kenobi congratulates her for overcoming her past and the dark side. On Mustafar, a restored Vader abandons his search for Kenobi after Emperor Palpatine questions his motives and loyalties. Back on Alderaan, Leia has found new resolve in her duties as a princess. A visiting Kenobi assures the Organases that he will help them in their time of need and bids Leia farewell. Upon returning to Tatooine, he assures Owen that he will allow Luke to grow up as an ordinary boy and is allowed to meet him for the first time.
