At the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 1960s, the Algerian War continued.
Salah, Kaddour, and other young Algerians without resources joined the French army as harkis. They were led by Lieutenant Pascal.
L’issue du conflit laisse prévoir l’indépendance prochaine de l’Algérie. Pascal s’oppose à sa hiérarchie pour obtenir le rapatriement en France de tous les hommes de son unité.
